Scot Smith, the librarian at Robertsville Middle School, has been appointed by the American Library Association to be on the jury for the Schneider Family Book Award. He will serve a two-year term and will help select books which best embody the artistic expression of the disability experience in literature for children and teens. In 2017, Smith served on the 2018 Michael L. Printz Award Committee for the Young Adult Library Services Association, a division of ALA. There, he helped to select the books that best exemplify literary excellence in literature for teens.
