Enrollment and Facilities Committee Recommendations

Oak Ridge Schools, and the City of Oak Ridge, have experienced tremendous growth over the past five to ten years. As a result, Oak Ridge Schools formed an Enrollment Committee in August of 2022, to monitor, research, assess and proactively plan ways to support that growth while maintaining the level of excellence that has become the standard in Oak Ridge Schools. Oak Ridge Planning and Development staff served in an advisory role on the Enrollment Committee, providing data, information on new development plans and guidance from adopted plans and policies, however, the official recommendation was formed by Oak Ridge Schools.

In February of 2024, Oak Ridge Schools and its Board of Education presented the committee’s official recommendation to the City Council, City Manager and Mayor of Oak Ridge. The recommendation presentation can be viewed in its entirety below.
