Interviews may begin anytime a qualified applicant pool is present and is reasonably possible for hiring departments.  With hard-to-fill positions, an interview may be scheduled with only a single qualified candidate if other qualified candidates are not available.
You will be notified by the hiring department when you have been selected for an interview.  Oak Ridge Schools prefers to notify candidates several days in advance; however, we appreciate your flexibility when this is not possible.

We post newly opened positions as they occur or as budgets allow.

To view open positions in the online system, you can click on the Jobs tab, click view and the job description for that position will appear. Requirements for the position are listed within the job description.
If you have signed a contract, or are under continued employment obligation with another employer, you must be released from your contractual obligation before signing a contract with Oak Ridge Schools. As to your contract status with other school systems, they will advise you whether you will be released and under what circumstances.
