Congratulations to Robertsville’s Solomon Karisa and Jefferson’s Lana Haese for winning the 2021 spelling bees at their schools. Solomon, a 7th grader at RMS, placed first in the school-wide bee by correctly spelling the word convulsive. 5th grader Quentin Delmau finished second. At JMS, 8th grader Lana correctly spelled the word engrossed to win the bee. Ellen Eidemiller, also an 8th grader at JMS, placed second. Both Solomon and Lana will advance to the Southern Appalachia Regional Bee. Good luck to both Oak Ridge students!!
