Each year the Tennessee School Boards Association recognizes school district volunteers from across the state who have distinguished themselves by demonstrating exceptional commitment to volunteerism in a local school district. Examples of this kind of service include making an outstanding contribution to a Tennessee school district through volunteer service, showing exemplary leadership and cooperation, and organizing groups or resources that benefit the school district.

The Oak Ridge Schools Board of Education members have selected Stacey Callison as our Volunteer of the Year. Robertsville Middle School administrators expressed their appreciation of Mrs. Callison’s commitment to work closely with them for the past three years as the president of the PTSA. In this role, she promotes school growth by overseeing fundraisers, organizing volunteer efforts, and increasing capacity for student support overall at Robertsville.

Stacey ensures all staff and students have necessary resources to maximize learning opportunities. Not only does she serve Robertsville this way, she impacts the entire district to support programs at the Oak Ridge Schools Pre-school, Linden Elementary School, Special Education Parent Council, the Advanced Learner Committee, and Superintendent’s PTSO.

Some examples of efforts Mrs. Callison has supported include Zoo at the Pre-school, Reading Partners at Linden, and school book fairs. Mrs. Callison’s work has made a remarkable impact on the Oak Ridge Schools.
