Board of Education member Bob Eby has been appointed by Gov. Bill Haslam to represent the 3rd Congressional District on the Tennessee State Board of Education effective April 1. Mr. Eby will therefore be resigning his position with the Oak Ridge Schools Board of Education effective March 31. Mr. Eby has served in the position of Vice Chairman for the Board since June 2009 and previously served as the Board Chairman from 1991-1995. We recognize this is a great honor for Mr. Eby and wish him much success in his new position.
The Oak Ridge Board of Education will honor Mr. Eby in a reception prior to the start of the board meeting on Monday, February 26, beginning at 5:00 p.m. All staff are invited to attend.
