Collaboration with Oak Ridge Schools SECME, Men of Tomorrow, and PEER( Program for Excellence & Equity in Research) allowed students to experience forensic odontological activities using procedures from CSI to identify potential suspects using their teeth bite marks. Students reviewed the scientific method, took tooth impressions, and recorded their findings in the lab notebooks. The 21 students also had their own lab coats. This was a very interesting and educational venture for all!
