AV mute is a feature that causes the projector screen to go dark. This feature can be handy to use if you need to stop projecting for a short amount of time. However, it’s use should be limited to less than a minute because while in use the projector bulb is still powered on.
Please do not forget to take the projector out of AV mute! It’s easy to miss because nothing is being projected, and if the classroom is left with this feature engaged it will severely limit bulb life. The proper usage is to take the projector out of AV mute and then power it off prior to leaving.
