Well, we hope that you have stayed safe and warm during this winter weather. As the district announced, we are out of school on Monday, January 22, and the district will re-examine road conditions tomorrow.

As we head into the winter months, we want to remind you of our commitment to providing a safe and healthy learning environment for your child. With the colder weather, we will continue to monitor the temperature in our classrooms to ensure that they are comfortable for your child. We encourage you to dress your child in layers so that they can adjust to the temperature changes throughout the day. We are forecasted for inclement weather this week. In the event of a school closure, see the information below on how that will work.

We have been looking at our Term 2 Benchmark data, and we are very pleased with the progress your students are making. We are seeing growth across their time at JMS and in the year they are in. We appreciate your support for all the work we do to get your students to succeed.

We hope that your family and students have had a relaxing and recharging winter break. This is a short week, with students returning on Wednesday. Wednesday is a normal Wednesday schedule.

Math and Social Studies Benchmarks are Monday and Tuesday, with Makeups happening for the remainder of the week. Remember, benchmarks are FORMATIVE assessments. We use them to guide instruction, plan for intervention, and monitor student progress

Welcome back to school! We hope you and your family had a wonderful thanksgiving break and enjoyed some quality time together.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for your continued support and involvement in your child’s education. We are proud of the achievements and progress that our students have made so far, and we look forward to celebrating their successes with you.

Remember, we do not send home paper midterms. You will receive a Skyalert message on Friday reminding you to take a look at Skyward. Midterms are a point in time snapshot of what your student's grades looked like at the end of day on Wednesday. If you have questions about grades, please reach out to your student's teachers.
