This summer, ORNL is excited to host SAGE (Science Accelerating Girls’ Engagement) Summer Camp, a weeklong program for rising 10th-12th grade girls to explore STEM possibilities for their futures. It will be held at AMSE June 13-17. Please share this opportunity with high school STEM teachers and students. More information and link to the application can be found at stem.ornl.gov/SAGE. SENIOR INFORMATION
SENIORS LISTEN UP! This announcement is worth about $10,000. Are you planning to use the TnPromise Scholarship?? If so, Mrs. Thompson has sent all eligible seniors an email to provide you an update regarding your community service hours. It is important all seniors using the TNPromise read the email sent to you on Monday. Failure to complete 8 hours of community service by July 1, 2022 will permanently forfeit your TnPromise eligibility. Seniors: Convocation is held in the Arena on May19th at 7:00 p.m. We need Seniors to share their vision of what ORHS represents to them to design the Front Cover for the Program. Examples of previous Convocation programs will be on display in the Media Center. Requirements are: Oak Ridge High School Class of 2022 Need to be included in the Design. Mrs. Bauman in LC 318 will be available to answer any questions or help with encouragement. Deadline for proposals is May 6. (M, Th) – B. Bauman
