STUDENT INFO
Anyone looking to get extra help preparing for the ACT can sign up for the ACT Boot Camp, which will be held from 8-11 a.m. on Monday, September 28 through Thursday, October 1. Each day will focus on a different section of the test. Tips and strategies will be discussed, and students will have a chance to take a practice test and have specific questions answered. This opportunity is free, but transportation will not be provided. A link to sign-up is in the iNews and ParentSquare. Please sign up by Wednesday, September 23. See Dr. Fisher or Mr. Stebbins if you have additional questions.
Please come out to the annual college fair on Monday, September 21, 2026 from 5pm-6:30pm in the Wildcat Arena.
An Admissions Representative from the University of Chicago will be visiting ORHS immediately after school in the Counseling office on Monday, Sept 21st. They unfortunately cannot attend the College Fair that will be held Monday evening starting at 5pm – so, stop by after school to visit with the University of Chicago then come to the arena at 5pm for the College Fair.
On Thursday, Sept 24th Palm Beach Atlantic University will be in the Main Lobby during lunch and after school Randolph College will be in the College and Career Room.
Students who took the ASVAB may pick up their score reports in Counseling.
Do you have a picture from a special moment? Help us celebrate Hispanic Heritage month by sharing it with us on our “Debí tirar más fotos” photo wall which will be posted on the 3rd floor near the arena stairwell. The link to submit pictures will be on the iNews and the Canvas Wildcat Hangout page.
Happy HoCo week! Tickets for the Homecoming Dance are on sale now for $25. The dance will be in the B Gym on Saturday, September 26 from 6-9pm. Grab your tickets at lunch any day this week! Hope to see you there!
Attention Wildcats — it’s on. Oak Ridge is going head-to-head with the Clinton Dragons and Anderson County Mavericks for the county-wide voter registration win. If you’re 18, or you’ll be 18 by November 3rd, swing by the info center outside the library, register to vote online, and make sure you let the library know so your registration can be counted. Let’s win this thing.
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! Each day this week we’ll ask TWO trivia questions. Go to the library to turn in your answers. If you get both right, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a daily prize! All answers are due by the end of 3B. Prizes will be delivered during 5th block. Today’s questions are:
- When does Hispanic Heritage Month start AND end?
- How many Spanish speaking countries celebrate their Independence Day during Hispanic Heritage Month?
The questions will also be posted in the library each day. ¡Buena suerte!
