Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Anyone looking to get extra help preparing for the ACT can sign up for the ACT Boot Camp, which will be held from 8-11 a.m. on Monday, September 28 through Thursday, October 1. Each day will focus on a different section of the test. Tips and strategies will be discussed, and students will have a chance to take a practice test and have specific questions answered. This opportunity is free, but transportation will not be provided. A link to sign-up is in the iNews and ParentSquare. Please sign up by Wednesday, September 23. See Dr. Fisher or Mr. Stebbins if you have additional questions.

Submit designs for the 2027 Senior Signature shirt by September 18 to Mrs. Ledden in CS347 or to tledden@ortn.edu. Prizes totaling $100 for front and back.

Juniors and Seniors with off campus today at First United Methodist Church, we will be serving chicken alfredo pasta! The cost is $4; however, if you can’t pay, we won’t turn you away. Come and get it!

Do you want to learn how to get involved in Student Council while representing the student body and helping Oak Ridge High School become a better place? Student Council is holding a Schoolwide Student Council meeting during 2nd period in the amphitheater on September 17th. This meeting is for 2nd Period Representatives for their 2nd block class. Be ready with ideas to make the ORHS environment a better place. Remember, anyone can make a difference!

If you’ve always wanted a place in the spotlight, now is your chance! Masquers is having auditions for our Fall Showcase on Monday, September 21 and Tuesday, September 22. Rehearsals will begin after fall break and the Showcase performance will be Saturday, November 14th. Visit our website at orhsmasquers.com for more information and links to sign up. HOSA, Friday is the deadline to join-see Mrs. Wich in CS-200 to see if you’ve turned everything in.

Are you ready to embark on epic quests and dive into the mystical realms of Dungeons and Dragons? Join us, the D&D Club, every tomorrow from 3:15 to 4:30 PM in the grand hall of imagination (AKA Dr. Denisar’s room CS329)!  Don’t miss out on the fun, the friends, and the fantastic stories waiting to be told.

FCA will meet on Friday morning at 7:00 AM!!  We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school.  Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10.  We will dismiss by 7:35.  All are welcome!!!  If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).

SENIORS

Seniors who did not get a Jostens graduation supplies packet on Wednesday before the senior picture, should pick one up from the Main Office or Mrs. Ledden in CS347.
