STUDENT INFO

Don’t forget to enter the Branching Out story contest! The deadline is Thursday afternoon. Write a story of 1-3 pages including the words “silver,” “hurricane,” “narc,” “Toronto,” and “ice pick.” Bring your story to Ms. Sasser in CS336 by 3:10 on Thursday, September 29. CLUB & ORGANIZATION INFO

Thanks so much for the students who participated in the first meeting of “Small Talk”. We will meet on Monday, September 25 or Thursday, September 28 after school until 3:45 to discuss information related to the ACT and SAT. Both sessions will be the same, so feel free to attend either  meeting. I look forward to seeing you in CS 235 on Monday or Thursday afternoon. (9/25, 9.28, 9/29) – R. Colquitt

National Honor Society will meet on Monday, October 16 at 3:15 in LC-327.  All members are expected to attend.  Please see Madame Bailey to explain conflicts.  Publicity, Speaker,  and Refreshment Committees should plan on remaining after the meeting of the Society as a whole.  (9/28-9/29, 10/16) – M. Hallo! Und Guten Tag! Do you like German? Do you want to learn more and hang out with other students interested in German? Then come to German Club also known as “Deutsche Arbeitsgemeinschaft”. Our next meeting is the first Monday after Fall break, Oktober 16th in room CS 304 at 3:15.We will celebrate our own “Oak Ridge High school Oktoberfest” with movies and popcorn and we will snack on some newly imported German food from Frau Nebenfuehr!   Auf Wiedersehen! Those Seniors who believe they have a 3.6 cumulative average through the first quarter of this year, and who are interested in being inducted into National Honor Society, must pick up a Verification of Interest Form from Mrs. Milloway in the Library.  Signed and completed forms are due back to Mrs. Milloway by 3:15 on October 26th. (9/29) – L. SENIOR INFO

Seniors: mark your calendars! The senior signing party for the senior signature shirt will be immediately after school on Wednesday, October 18, in the Arena. In addition, Jostens will be handing out your packets to order graduation supplies. Orders will be taken beginning November 1. A $60 deposit is required when ordering graduation supplies unless the total is less than $60. (9/29, 10/16) – T. Ledden
