Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

The Driving Center is again offering two Driver Education classes over Fall Intersession.  First class starts Oct. 2nd and the second Oct 9th.  All classes meet from 8:00am till 3:30 pm Monday thru Thursday. Choose the class that fits your schedule. Testing can be administered here at The Driving Center.  A permit is not required to complete the 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training.  Please call (865) 482-6700 for more information or to enroll. Happy banned books week!  We’re wild and crazy at the library so we’re celebrating your freedom to read all books from all viewpoints by displaying some of the most challenged books of all time.  Who knows?  You might have even read some – you scofflaw you!  Haven’t read any?  That’s ok – it’s not too late!  Stop by the library so you can check out a book for fall break (it doesn’t even have to be a banned book) and you can also get your very own “I read banned books” sticker – everyone loves stickers! Come to NHS tutoring from 3:15 to 3:50 in the Counselling Center on Thursday to glue your academic progress in your minds so it will stick over two weeks of Fall Break. Olivia Pabst and Aly Rosen will help make it stick. (9/27-9/28) – K. Senter

Don’t forget to enter the Branching Out story contest! The deadline is Thursday afternoon. Write a story of 1-3 pages including the words “silver,” “hurricane,” “narc,” “Toronto,” and “ice pick.” Bring your story to Ms. Sasser in CS336 by 3:10 on Thursday, September 29. CLUB & ORGANIZATION INFO

Thanks so much for the students who participated in the first meeting of “Small Talk”. We will meet on Monday, September 25 or Thursday, September 28 after school until 3:45 to discuss information related to the ACT and SAT.
