On Monday, January 13, Robertsville Middle School hosted its annual spelling bee. 80 students participated in the contest. After 17 rounds, 7th grader Zen Bennett correctly spelled the word assertion to win the bee. 7th grader Eurydice Delmau placed second. Zen qualifies for the regional bee to be held later this spring.


On Thursday, January 16, Robertsville held its annual National Geographic GeoBee. Nine students qualified to participate in the final round. 7th grader Jayden Davis won the competition as he missed only one question and received a perfect score during the championship round. 5th grader Liam Brannon placed second, and 7th grader Leo Ehlers was third. Jayden will now attempt to qualify for the state competition. RMS librarian Scot Smith is the sponsor of the Geography Bee Club.
