JUNIOR PARENTS Attention all Sophomores and Juniors SAVE THE DATE: Tuesday, October 24th The PSAT/NMSQT® is an OPTIONAL test that will be offered to 10th and 11th graders at Oak Ridge High School on Tuesday, October 24th. Online registration and fee payment will be begin on Monday, August 28th and run through Friday, September 8th The cost is $18. The ordering link will be sent out via Skyward Messenger and posted in the iNews on Monday, August 28th.
STAFF LOT AND REAR AUDITORIUM LOT - NOT DROP OFF LOCATIONS Parents, the staff parking lot on the east end of the campus on Providence Road and the area behind the Auditorium are NOT a drop off or pick up lots. Please use the ONLY the Wildcat Arena lot or the front loop to drop off or pick up students.
ATTENDANCE NOTES Parents, every time a student is absent, please send a note the day they return. Failure to send a parent note/doctor's note/court note within three (3) days will result in the day being unexecused. Parents can write 7 parent notes per year. Notes can be dropped in the attendance office, or in the "mailbox" in the Visual Arts hallway

The building opens at 7:00 AM. Students will be expected to vacate the building everyday by 3:20 PM and by 2:10 on Wednesdays. Don't forget: The tardy bell rings at 7:50. The main drop off point for car riders is in the front of ORHS on the Turnpike side of the school. Please use the right hand lane only for drop off in the front of the school. The bus loop (Providence Road) should NOT be used for drop off until after 7:30 in the morning and not until after 3:15pm in the afternoon.
ORHS welcomes students and families to the 2023-24 school year. The iNews is published weekly and distributed at 7:00 am every Monday morning. The purpose of the iNews is to communicate information to parents that your children don’t tell you as well as celebrate our students and staff. Thank you for taking the time to review the information so you are informed of the happenings at our school.
THURSDAY - MAKE-UP EXAMS ONLY Students who have completed their final exams should NOT attend school on Thursday. There are NO regular classes. Students needing to take a final should make arrangement with their teacher. All exams MUST be completed by 11:00 am.
FINAL EXAM INFORMATION All classes are required to provide some type of assessment for final exams. The only makeup day for final exams is June 1st. Should students fail to take their exam, they will be given a zero. Please make sure your teens attend school on May 30th and 31st
We are excited to offer an expanded summer school this year to accommodate every student who may need to recover credit(s). Daily attendance is required for summer school.
This is the last week for the Class of 2023 to walk the halls of Oak Ridge High School. There are so many announcements for those families.
