Calling all students! Do you want to help plan prom? 🎉 Applications for the prom board are now open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors! Come by Mrs. Royster’s room anytime to pick up an application. Let’s start planning next year’s unforgettable prom together! 💃🕺

SKIP the LINE and save over $300.  Buy your Student Athletic Pass for just $60 and you won’t have to wait in line on Friday night with our first home game against the Clinton Dragons.  Student Athletic Passes will be on sale today through Thursday (no sales next Friday) in the Main Lobby during 3A & 3B.  Single game tickets are $10 now for football and basketball and there are over 15 home games for just those two sports.   You do the Math!  And this also includes home Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Track and Volleyball!

Students are reminded that the ORHS Marching Band uses the parking spaces closest to the Turnpike for Marching practice in the afternoons.  Cars parked in those areas after lunch are subject to being towed.

The tradition continues. It’s time for the Senior Shirt Design Contest—the shirt that every senior gets to sign. Please submit your designs for the Class of 2027 Senior Shirt to Mrs. Ledden in Room CS347 by Friday, September 18. You do not have to be a senior to submit designs for the shirt—open to all grade levels.  We need a front shirt design and a back shirt design.  Each of these designs is a separate “contest”.  Thanks to a generous donation prizes for each contest are now as follows: Front – $50; Back – $50. (That’s $100 if you win both!)  Be sure to incorporate ORHS, Seniors, and Class of 2027 into your drawings.  Place your name and first period teacher’s name on the back of each design entry.  Entries must be original work and if selected, will become the property of Oak Ridge High School. (Selection committee reserves the right to combine two or more designs in which case each person will receive prize money.)

Attention all Sophomores and Juniors: The PSAT/NMSQT^® is an OPTIONAL test that will be offered to 10^th and 11^th graders on Tuesday, October 20th at 7:50 a.m. The test should end by 1:00 p.m. and the food court will be open at that time for students who take the test to eat lunch. The online registration and payment portal will open on Monday, August 24^th and close on Tuesday, September 8^th at aptsusa.com/oakridge. The cost is $20. No refunds are available if you do not take the test.  A limited number of exams are available. Please sign up by the September 8^th deadline.

Good morning, rocketeers! The Oak Ridge Rocket Club will meet this Tuesday in Ms. Fairfax’s room, LC210, immediately after school. We will begin building rockets for our September launch date, so come ready to get messy! All students are welcome to join us!
