🌟 Calling all students! Do you want to help plan prom? 🎉 Applications for the prom board are now open to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors! Come by Mrs. Royster’s room anytime to pick up an application. Let’s start planning next year’s unforgettable prom together! 💃🕺

Students – How would you like to save over $300.  You can buy your 2026-27 Student Athletic Pass in the Main Lobby at the beginning and end of 3^rd block each day this week.  $60 will get you into every home regular-season game for football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball and track.  Ticket prices now are $10 per event for students for basketball and football.  You will save $90 for those 2 sports and not have to wait in line. Post-season games and tournaments are not included.

30+ Club Students – Your 2026-27 Activity Pass will be available for you to pick up in the Main Office on Tuesday, August 18.  – You know who you are – Congratulations!

Attention all student drivers- parking spots have now been purchased and painted. Any painted spot is reserved for the student who paid for that spot. Please do not park in any spot that does not belong to you.

The tradition continues. It’s time for the Senior Shirt Design Contest—the shirt that every senior gets to sign. Please submit your designs for the Class of 2027 Senior Shirt to Mrs. Ledden in Room CS347 by Friday, September 18. You do not have to be a senior to submit designs for the shirt—open to all grade levels. We need a front shirt design and a back shirt design.  Each of these designs is a separate “contest”.  Prizes for each contest are as follows:  Front – $25; Back – $25. (That’s $50 if you win both!)  Be sure to incorporate ORHS, Seniors, and Class of 2027 into your drawings.  Place your name and first period teacher’s name on the back of each design entry.  Entries must be original work and if selected, will become the property of Oak Ridge High School. (Selection committee reserves the right to combine two or more designs in which case each person will receive prize money.)

Students are reminded that the ORHS Marching Band uses the parking spaces closest to the Turnpike for Marching practice in the afternoons.  Cars parked in those areas after lunch are subject to being towed.

Seniors & Juniors join us today at First United Methodist Church for lunch! We will be serving chicken alfredo pasta! The cost is $4; however, if you can’t pay, we won’t turn you away. Come and get it!

If you’re interested in crafting or just hanging out, come to Sewing Club in CS331 on Thursday 8/20 from 3:15 to 4:00PM. All are welcome!

Math Club will meet Friday August 21st during lunch in Mrs. Williams’ room, CS228. This week we will work through some math puzzles!

Bummed about missing Club Fair yesterday? No worries – come by the library to see the new display highlighting all the ORHS clubs>

Interested in doing real scientific research that will help our community?    Come join an ongoing Mosquito research program. We will meet on Mondays after school for the next 6 weeks for 1 hour to make a real difference.  Come see Mrs. Sluss is room LC 114 if interested.

Are you ready to embark on epic quests and dive into the mystical realms of Dungeons and Dragons? Join us, the D&D Club, tomorrow from 3:15 to 4:30 PM in the grand hall of imagination (AKA Dr. Denisar’s room CS329)!  Don’t miss out on the fun, the friends, and the fantastic stories waiting to be told.
