Drink vending machines are OUT OF ORDER until after Fall Break due to machine maintenance issues. No refund requests will be accepted until machines have received required maintenance.
The Acorn is Oak Ridge High School’s literary magazine, featuring the creative talents of our students and staff- everything from fiction and poetry to the visual arts. Anyone wishing to submit original creations for consideration in the next issue of The Acorn must email the file to wmstebbins@ortn.edu. The deadline for submissions is 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26. For detailed information, including correct file formats, see Mr. Stebbins in CS339, the Wildcat Hangout page, or the iNews.

The online Jostens yearbook store is OPEN at Jostens.com. For a limited time, the Oak Log will cost $65.00. In mid-October the price will increase to $75.00. The price on Distribution Day, if any are left, is cash only and $85.00. Last year, the Oak Log completely sold out. Once the books are gone, they are gone.
Enrollment is OPEN to experience Ireland and Scotland in June of 2027!!! Lock in one of the remaining spots available and the best possible price by enrolling by September 26th. Highlights of the trip include: Dublin, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Trinity College Library & the Book of Kells, Belfast, Castle of Edinburgh, Royal Mile, The Highlands, and Loch Ness (yes, THE Loch Ness). See Ms. Eades in room VA103 to enroll.
CLUB INFO
Sometimes it takes a really curvy road to get your mind straight.
And then you need to park! Motorcycle club will meet this Thursday, 9/25 during 3A. Join us in the bus loop lobby to walk out to work on our parking places!
FCA will meet on Friday morning, September 26th, at 7:00 AM!! We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school. Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10. We will dismiss by 7:35. All are welcome!!! If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).

Scholarship Opportunity! Seniors interested in applying for the DAR Good Citizens Scholarship should see Ms. Ragan, no later than September 24th!! This scholarship ranges from $500 local to $10,000 national level awards.
