STUDENT INFO
Picture makeup and retakes for 9th-11th graders and all faculty and staff members will be Friday, September 12th in the B-Gym. Students will be called down by last name. Pictures will be taken from 8-2pm. Teachers: If you have 5th block plan and need your photo taken you will want to do so at the very beginning of 5th.
Juniors & Seniors with off campus lunch can walk over to First United Methodist Church every Thursday for lunch.
A reminder that the front row parking spaces at both Wildcat Arena and in front of Secret City Academy are STAFF parking only. Handicap parking spots are for handicap vehicles with tags or stickers. No students should park in these areas.
Tonight at 7pm is the first performance of the ORHS Masquers play, The Giver. There are two other opportunities to see this incredibly meaningful show on Saturday, September 13th at 7pm and the final performance on September 14th at 2pm. Tickets are $10 at the door or buy them online at orhsmasquers.booktix.com.
Attention AP Students:
The Fall AP payment window will open on Monday, September 15th and close on Friday, October 31st at 11:59pm for all students currently enrolled in a fall or yearlong AP course. If you begin your AP course in January, you will pay in the spring. This year all AP exams are $102. The link to pay and register will be sent to all AP students via Parent/Student Square on September 15th.
Spirit Week begins on Monday Sept 15th! Homecoming Week dress up days are as follows- Monday is Bikers versus Surfers, Tuesday is Duo Day, Wednesday is Dress Your Type, Thursday is Country versus Country Club, and Friday is Wildcat Pride Day. Tag @orhs_stuco on instagram each day for a chance to win a gift card for best dressed each day. The week will conclude with a pep rally on Friday to present the Homecoming Court and hype up our team to beat the Cleveland High Blue Raiders. Go cats and happy HoCo!

FCA will meet on Friday morning, September 12th, at 7:00 AM!! We will meet at Grace Baptist-Oak Ridge Campus (formerly Central Baptist) – the same meeting location as last week! The location is directly across the street from the bus loop and arena at the high school. Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at approximately 7:10. We will be dismissed by 7:35. All are welcome!!! If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).
Bonjour! French Club will meet Thursday 9/11/25 in CS 312 Madame Pry’s room to sign up for our cheese tasting and continue the film. Merci!
SENIORS
Seniors: Picture makeups/retakes are September 11 and September 12 in the B-gym. These will be for the cap/gown and formal poses only. You MUST sign up to schedule your makeup or retake session using the link posted in parent square by end of day, September 9th.
When signing up, if you are doing a retake and have already paid a sitting fee, in the comments please write “retake.” If you know you will not be purchasing a photo package and just wish to have your picture taken for the yearbook, choose the “mini” package. You will not need to pay a sitting fee even though it says payment will be due at the time of the photo.
Seniors: only one design has been submitted for the 2026 Senior Signature shirt. Get those designs in by September 18 to Mrs. Ledden in CS347. Prizes totaling $50 for front and back.
The 2025 QuestBridge National College Match for high school seniors is now open! QuestBridge is a college partner program to find FULLfour-year scholarships to the nation’s top colleges for high-achieving students from low-income backgrounds. Visit questbridge.org to learn more about the program and to apply!! Deadline for applications is Sept. 30th!!
ATHLETICS.
Track interest meeting will be held Wednesday 9/17 in LC 327 immediately after school.
Please come out and support your Lady Wildcat volleyball team on Thursday, September 11th and they take on the Mavericks. This is a district game, and your support will have an impact on our success. ORHS students who sit in the student section get in free, and the first 25 at each game will get free pizza. Hope to see you all there to cheer us on!
