Mark your Calendars for Tuesday, May 9th, from 6-8pm to check out these ORHS Businesses! This is a Free Community Event! There will be 13 Businesses represented and they will have products like bracelets, ORHS gear, bath-bombs, socks, bag tags; services like car detailing and lawncare; yummy baked goods and popcorn balls; and there is even a business working to create a great calming space here at ORHS! Come support these ORHS students by checking out their businesses and buying their products.  T. Lloyd

 

The judging for this year’s ORHS English Department Scholarship resulted in a tie, so the two first place entrants, Kannon Green and Gus Morrill, will each receive a $500 first place award. In their entries, they eloquently discussed the power of the written word and the importance of communicating effectively. Kannon plans to pursue her education in the fall at College of Charleston majoring in early childhood development, and Gus will major in English and journalism at Middlebury College. M. Feuer

 

Come check out Wildcat Central! Get your O R socks, bracelets, lanyards, and bag tags in person near the main staircase. Pre-orders for t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies are also available. Come get you ORHS gear today or pick up a flyer to order from home. Products and Pre-sales will be available until May 9th. Keep a look out for OR People trading cards, coming soon!

 

Students who have expressed interest in learning to cook, we have our first official cooking class with Aramark Chef Eric available for you on Friday, May 5 from 3:15 – 5:15 in our own cafeteria.

Please check your calendars now and make plans to attend.

CLUB INFO

 

Key Club’s final meeting of the year will be held on Tuesday, May 2 at 3:15 in Mr. Schoolcraft’s room, LC224. We will be electing officers for the 23-24 school year and celebrating our seniors!  J. Schoolcraft

The Trading Card Club will hold its first meeting TODAY, Monday, May 1st after school in CS237, Mr. van Eek’s room, until 5. Bring your paper or digital Magic:The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon, or other trading cards and battle or trade with your friends.  J. Van Eek

There will be an end of the year HOSA party during lunch May 11th.  M. Mixon

TOMORROW IS COLLEGE SHIRT DAY! Seniors, show us your future plans on a shirt tomorrow, May 2nd! Wear a shirt from your future college, technical school, or military branch. We’re so excited for you, Class of 2023! Staff, please join in the fun by wearing a shirt from your alma mater on Tuesday, May 2nd. B. Ottinger

 

SENIORS!  If you have not yet completed it, please go to the Announcements in your Class of 23 Canvas page and complete the Exit Survey!   This is REQUIRED for all Seniors – those entering the workforce, joining the military or going on to a school.  The Exit Survey will also serve as your Final Transcript Request. Final Transcripts will be sent in June once they are finalized. IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THIS SURVEY, YOUR FINAL TRANSCRIPT WILL NOT BE SENT.
