Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

 

STUDENT INFO

 

Have you ever wanted to work on your acting skills? Everyone is welcome to come join Masquers on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 4:30-6 for Improv! Their new Improv Coach, Rollin, will have you rolling. Also, on Wednesdays from 2-4, Director, Amy Uptgraft, will lead students in an Acting Workshop. You don’t have to attend every Wednesday. Come to one workshop or all of them. They will be casting Atomic Acts on March 8th, so come to a workshop or improv in the auditorium and let them know if you want to Act Up with Masquers! Last but not least, Masquers is gearing up for their Spring performances so mark your calendar for: Cheap Date Night Improv Show on February 15th; The Lightning Thief: A Percy Jackson Musical on March 3rd, 4th & 5th; and Atomic Acts on April 22nd!  T. Want to save THREE lives?? Donate blood! Medic will be here January 27 from 8am – 2pm. You must sign up with Mrs. Minarik. Students, if you are 16 you can donate, with parental permission (get forms from Mrs. Pointer or Mrs. Minarik). Students 17 and 18 years old do not need parents’ permission. Remember to eat a full meal and drink lots of water the morning of January 27! Go SAVE LIVES!!  S. Minarik

 

 

CLUB INFO

 

The German Club meeting is this Thursday after school at 3:15 in room CS301. We will discuss the International Festival at the Children’s Museum, play games, speak German, listen to German, compete, and eat cookies!

Masquers is interviewing for their tech positions for The Lightning Thief. If you are interested in helping with sound, lights, or working on our set crew during the show, please pick up an application from the Masquers office door or from Mrs. Lloyd in room cs345. Applications are due TODAY, Wednesday. Please turn them in to Mrs. Lloyd in her classroom during the day or in the auditorium after school.  T. Lloyd

The counseling office is hosting a mini college fair TODAY, Wednesday, January 25, in the main lobby during lunch. We have 13 colleges setting up with information that all grades will find helpful.  A. King

It’s not too late to get your Student Athletic Pass – the price is now $45.  This will get you in to any home regular season event for Basketball and all Spring sports.   Get your SAP ASAP in the Main Office
