Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Students must exit the building by 3:30 each day unless they are directly involved in a school activity. Any students who are in the building after school must be supervised by a sponsor or a coach at all times. Make transportation arrangements accordingly because you will not be allowed to loiter in the building after 3:30 each day.  B. Estep

Masquers Fall Showcase is this Saturday, November 12th at 7pm in the auditorium. Suggested donation is $5. Come join us for a fun night of musical theatre with amazing solos, duets, small & large group numbers and even an instrumental performance from our talented students! Don’t miss this show!  T. If you are interested in auditioning for The Lightning Thief, plan to attend an audition workshop on Monday, November 14th from 3:30-5 in the amphitheater. Come meet the director and music director as they let you know what to expect for auditions, learn some tips to nail the audition, and make sure you have the forms needed for the auditions. The Lightning Thief auditions are on Monday, November 21st and Tuesday, November 22nd.  T. Lloyd

Looking for the perfect Thanksgiving centerpiece or just want to feel a little crafty with your pals? Well then, come to the First Annual Library Folded Book Turkey Make and Take. There are samples in the Library Display case and in the library itself. Come by ASAP to sign up, before all of the discarded books we’ll use are gobbled up.  C. Milloway

Jostens will return on Thursday, November 17, to take orders for class rings. They will be located in the Main Lobby and the Arena Concessions’ Kiosk at lunch only. Any student at ORHS can order a class ring. A $60 deposit is required, and class ring packets are available from Mrs. Ledden in CS347. Orders may also be placed online at https://www.jostens.com/. The AMC 10A and 12A Math Competition will be held in the Amphitheatre on Thursday, Nov. 10th.  All that have signed up, please be in the Amphitheatre by 7:50 with your computers.  We have a few extra spots.  If you are interested in participating, please see your Math Teacher, ASAP.   J. Zimprich

CLUB INFO

Bonjour! French Club will meet right after school on Thursday, November 10th, in CS 307-Madame Barry’s room! Bring a snack to share and some marshmallows for our monument competition! Merci! (W,Th) E. Barry

SENIOR INFO

Seniors should have received information and an order form from their 4th period teacher for the 2023 Senior Signature Shirts and Sweats. Orders will be accepted in the Arena Concessions’ Kiosk during lunch Wednesday thru Friday, November 9-11, and Monday thru Friday, November 14-18. Orders may also be given to Mrs. Ledden in CS347 or CS342 (4th period only). Cash or check made payable to ORHS. (W,F,M,W,F,11/17) T. Ledden

Jostens will return to take graduation supply orders on Thursday, November 17, and will be located in the Main Lobby and the Arena Concessions’ Kiosk at lunch only. Seniors may only borrow a cap & gown from a senior who graduated in 2022 since we are now using the new customized gowns. Graduation supply packets can be picked up from Mrs. Ledden in CS347. The cap & gown unit includes the tassel and is $42 + tax for a total of $46.10. The cap & gown order should be placed now and can be paid for in the spring.
