Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

There will be an early interest cross country meeting Thursday, March 5th in the amphitheater from 6 to 7 PM. (F,M,W,Th) – T. Sauer

The Spring Musical “Little Mermaid” opening night tomorrow!  Shows are tomorrow at 7, Saturday at 2 and 7, and Sunday at 2.  Tickets will be sold at the door for $9.  Don’t miss the biggest show in Masquer History! (3/5) – V. Moreno

We will be taking our final orders for AP exams from February 24th through March 6th. If you are in a Spring semester only course (AP Macroeconomics with Ms. Bauman), the fee for your exam will be $94 or you can just pay a $40 deposit at this time. If you are on free and reduced lunch the fee is $15. If you are in a year-long course and missed the Fall deadline you can also order an exam, but there will be a $40 late fee assessed in addition to the $94 price of the exam. Please bring your payment to Ms. Harvey in the main office. (3/3-3/6) – D. Foust

NHS Tutoring: Third Term grades are due on Monday. Do something about them if you can, or start the last term in great shape by coming to NHS Tutoring on Thursday at 3:15, in the Counseling Center. Thursday’s extraordinary tutors include Emma Wiley, Anhaar Ajaz, and Andrew Nguyen. (3/5) – A. Etheridge

ACT Prep: Join us on Wednesday, March 11, from 2:00-2:45 in the Amphitheatre for ACT test-taking tips for each of the four subject tests. No need to sign up for this one—just show up. Don’t forget that the schoolwide ACT is on Tuesday, March 31th—the Tuesday we get back from Spring Break. (3/5-3/11) A. Etheridge

Are you interested in running for a position in student government? Do you like Chick-fil-A? If you answered yes to these questions, come to the Student Council Leadership Breakfast on Tuesday, March 10th. Current officers will be there to talk about responsibilities and how to run for office. All those interested in joining the general student council class next year are also encouraged to attend. The breakfast starts at 7:15 am in Mrs. Wagner’s room, LC331. (3/3-3/6) – A. Wagner

COUNSELING INFO

 

A recruiter from the US Navy will be in the Counseling Office immediately after school on Monday, March 9th.  If you would like more information about a possible future with the Navy stop by the Counseling Office, by the end of the day Friday, the 6th, to sign up for the meeting.
