Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

Student drivers….We are experiencing a high number of issues with students failing to park in marked spaces or in Staff parking.   There will be no more warnings.  Cars and trucks should NOT be parked on the grass or in places not designated as parking spaces.  Should you be found to be in violation of this expectation, you will find your car at Quality Towing with a bill for $75.00.  (Fri/Mon/Tues) – S. Any student who has registered for The Business Academy Work-Based Learning (Co-op) and/or Virtual Enterprise class for 2020-2021 must attend a mandatory meeting in order to participate in either or both programs. Students should choose either the Wednesday, March 11, or Thursday, March 12, meeting to attend. The meeting will be in CS347 and will begin immediately after school and last approximately 45 minutes. See Mrs. Ledden if you have questions. (3/3,3/4,3/6,3/9) – T. Ledden

Prom ticket Pre-Orders will be on sale Wed March 11th-Fri March 13th and Wed April 1st-Fri April 3rd.  Pre-Order Tickets will be $30 for singles and $60 for couples.  Tickets will be sold Mon April 20th-Thurs April 23rd . Tickets will be $40 for singles and $80 for couples.  All tickets will be sold during 5th period in the Arena Kiosk. Is your Prom date not a current student at ORHS? The Spring Musical “Little Mermaid” starts this Friday!  Do you have your tickets for this beloved story?  Shows are this Friday at 7, Saturday at 2 and 7, and Sunday at 2.  You are running out of time to buy Advance tickets.  Today is the Last day to buy Advance tickets.  Advance tickets are $8 and are available from a Masquer, Mr. Moreno’s class, or the Bookstore.  Tickets will be sold at the door but will be $1 more.  Don’t miss the biggest show in Masquer History! We will be taking our final orders for AP exams from February 24th through March 6th. If you are in a Spring semester only course (AP Macroeconomics with Ms. Bauman), the fee for your exam will be $94 or you can just pay a $40 deposit at this time. If you are on free and reduced lunch the fee is $15. If you are in a year-long course and missed the Fall deadline you can also order an exam, but there will be a $40 late fee assessed in addition to the $94 price of the exam. CLUB INFO

 

Book Club will meet Wednesday, March 4 in the library during 5th period.  We’ll take our yearbook picture during this meeting. (W) C. Milloway

 

Are you interested in running for a position in student government? Do you like Chick-fil-A? If you answered yes to these questions, come to the Student Council Leadership Breakfast on Tuesday, March 10th. Current officers will be there to talk about responsibilities and how to run for office. All those interested in joining the general student council class next year are also encouraged to attend. COUNSELING INFO

 

A recruiter from the US Navy will be in the Counseling Office immediately after school on Monday, March 9th.  If you would like more information about a possible future with the Navy stop by the Counseling Office, by the end of the day Friday, the 6th, to sign up for the meeting. Seniors: If you were unable to get a senior signature shirt/sweatshirt and would be interested in ordering one now at an increased cost of $3-$5 depending on the item, please see Mrs. Ledden in CS347 by 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6.
