Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

ORHS Calculators that have been rented for this year will be collected on the following dates during your Math class:  Seniors, Monday May 20th , All others on Tuesday, May 28th and Wednesday, 29th.

Calculators should be returned in clean, working condition. Students who have lost or broken calculators will be charged.  (F) – J. Zimprich

We have an important parking announcement for all students who drive to school.  For the remainder of the school year if your car is parked in a staff parking spot at any point in the day it is subject to be towed.  Please only park in student parking spots in the designated student lots (Arena and Turnpike) or on the street on Providence Road. Yearbooks will be on sale until they sell out on Friday, May 17, for CASH ONLY during the 8th period assembly.  On that day, you may pay with $85 cash to buy a yearbook until there are none left.  We fully expect to sell out. (Th) – B. Byrd

Convocation Ushers- please mark your calendars for a mandatory meeting  with Madame Barry, immediately after school next Thursday, May 23rd, in the auditorium to assign roles and practice.  You will receive more informationfrom your first period teacher soon. Merci! (F) – E. Barry

Members of the Class of 2020 Senior Steering Committee, Please remember that our first committee meeting will be held on Monday, May 20th during lunch in Ms. Hondorf’s room, LC210. We look forwardto meeting with everyone at that time, but if you cannot attend, be sure to see Ms. Hondorf or Ms. Sobek by this Friday. CLUB INFO

Interact club  will have their last official meeting Monday, May 13 in the amphitheater until 4pm! We  will discuss summer activities and end of the year picnic. (5/10-5/13) – A. King

SENIOR INFO

Seniors: do you have your cap, gown, and tassel? If you borrowed a cap & gown, did you remember to purchase the “19” tassel? If you needanything in order to be prepared to walk the stage May 30, please see Mrs. Ledden immediately in CS347. Tassels are $10. Also, extra announcements are available for $1.25 each. Student Council is offering a $2000 scholarship to one senior graduation this May. Student Council is now accepting applications for Seniors who have positively contributed to Oak Ridge High School and the Oak Ridge Community. Applications are outside the door of LC 331, Mrs. Wagner’s room and are due no later than Friday May 17th. (Tu, W, Th) – A. Wagner

House Method is opening the second annual House Method scholarship, which awards $1,000 toward the education of a student committed to bettering our lives in our homes. FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS

Are you planning on playing any sports at ORHS next year?  Do you know you have to have a current physical on file dated after April 15, 2019?    Do you know you can get a free sports physical that will be good for all next year?  On Sunday, May 19, in the Wildcat Arena area from 1:00 – 3:00.    Don’t forget.
