STUDENT INFO

Petitions to run for Student Council officer and class officer positions for the 2019-2020 school year are available now! All election applications must be turned in by the end of the day Friday March 29th. Forms are available in Mrs. Wagner’s room, LC 331. Do you love to support your school, athletics teams, and community?  The Dance Cats have a clinic and tryouts on Wednesday April 3rd- Friday April 5th. Woodland Needs Spring Fling Volunteers –  Need volunteer hours for the Tennessee Promise?   Here is a fun opportunity to get your hours.  You can earn up to 4 hours by helping to set up activities, play games with our students, and take down activities during our Spring Fling.  All interested students should contact Ms. Stacy Donald at sdonald@ortn.edu no later than Tuesday, April 2. Convocation and graduation will be here before you know it! If you are interested in being a speaker at either graduation or convocation, please see Mrs. Flanders in CS 316 for speech guidelines and to sign up for tryouts. Tryouts will be Thursday, April 4 at 3:20 in room CS316 (Mrs. Flanders’ room). At that time, you will read your speech to a panel of judges made up of teachers and students, and the panel will select the speakers by vote.  Stop by soon to get the information. (M,W,F – 4.1) – G. Have you started thinking about college? For students who want to serve their country in the military AND get a tuition-free first class education, a U.S. Service Academy may be the right fit. Academy graduates receive a bachelor’s degree in their field of study and become commissioned Officers in their respective branch of service. Think you’ve got what it takes? Learn more at Congressman Chuck Fleischmann’s 2018 Academy Day on Saturday, April 28th at 10:00 a.m. at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga University Center.
