STUDENT INFO

Petitions to run for Student Council officer and class officer positions for the 2019-2020 school year are available now! All election applications must be turned in by the end of the day Friday March 29th. Forms are available in Mrs. Wagner’s room, LC 331. Free NHS tutoring returns today with help from Ashley Gerber and Ruthie Froning. Come to the Counseling Center from 3:15 to 3:50 this afternoon. (Tu) – K. Senter

 

If you are interested in spending a week in tropical paradise, exploring the wildlife, meeting new animal friends, hiking the rainforest or ziplining through the cloud forest come on a Tiko Trek to Costa Rica. Do you love to support your school, athletics teams, and community?  The Dance Cats have a clinic and tryouts on Wednesday April 3rd- Friday April 5th. Tickets for Prom 2019, Living Behind the Mask; A Met Gala will be available for pre-order on March 27-29  and April 2-5 in the Arena Kiosk during 5th period.  The pre-order price is $30 for a single and $60 for a couple.   If you wait until the week of Prom the prices will increase to $40 for a single and $80 for a couple. The sale will close 10 minutes before the end of 5th period and absolutely no late passes will be given out. Please see Ms. Eidam in LC313 if you have any questions. CLUB INFO

 

The next meeting of the National Honor Society will be on Monday, April 1st—no fooling! Come to LC327 from 3:15 to 3:45 as we prepare for the NHS Spring induction season. (Tu) – K. Senter

 

Attention Anime Fans!  Due to popular demand, Anime Club meetings are moving to Monday afternoons starting next week, April 1st.  We will still meet in the same place: LC 228 (Ms. Lintz’s room).  We are excited to start up again now that break is over and hope to see everyone there on Monday! Sewing Club is moving to Thursdays!  In an effort to raise our membership, we have selected an alternate date to meet.  We really could use some eager beginner or intermediate sewing friends.  Our new project is to provide smocks for NICU (neo-natal intensive care) babies at Children’s Hospital.  We have the patterns and fabric – we just need you to help cut and sew.  We hope to see you this Thursday, March 28th, after school in the library makerspace. COUNSELING INFO

 

The Maryland Institute College of Art is hosting their annual High School Juniors and Sophomores Open House on April 7, 2019.  This event is specifically geared to the needs of high school juniors and sophomores starting the research the college application process.  Special emphasis will be put on applying to art colleges, including how to put together a portfolio of artworks.
