Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

We are excited to announce that Oak Ridge High School will be visited by an external review team from AdvancED on December 14th and 15th.  This two day process will focus on 11 STEM standards as the school is seeking to receive certification as a STEM school. If we receive this certification, we will be one of the first, if not the first, public high school in the United States to achieve this as an entire school rather than a program.  We are extremely excited for this visit as all other schools in the district have already navigated this process.  If certified, Oak Ridge Schools will be the first district in the state of Tennessee to have all schools STEM certified by AdvancED. (12/11-12/14) – S. Herrell

As the weather is getting colder and students are looking for warm clothing items to wear, you are increasingly choosing to come to school in warm, fuzzy pajamas and even house slippers. The handbook states on page 15, “Clothing that resembles sleepwear such as lounging pants, or other lounging items – including house shoes …. is prohibited. Students choosing to disobey this policy will receive a disciplinary referral and be required to change clothes. (12/6-12/12) – S. Thompson

Any student going to get their Learners Permit over the break please come to the Attendance office to request your SF10-10 Form.  The request form is brown and located on the Attendance counter top.

Any student who has lost any items this quarter please come by the Attendance office by Dec. 19th to claim it.  All items that remain in Lost and Found will be donated on Dec. 20th. (12/12, 12/14, 12/19) – C. Wilson
