Rocket Club Announcement: The thrill of anticipation… the rush of the launch… the excitement of the successful landing… All these things can be found as part of the Oak Ridge Rocket Club! We use STEM and Physics skills to design, build, and launch rockets. All are welcome. A brief interest meeting will be today after school in LC210, Mrs. Fairfax’s room
Interested in teamwork, competition, or stem? Then we have a deal for you! Our FIRST Robotics Competition team, 4265, The Secret City Wildbots is looking for new members. There are opportunities for those interested in any kind of engineering. Learn and apply skills in coding, design, mechanical fabrication, machining, business, animation, photography, videography and more. We currently meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm to 9pm in the automotive, aviation, and iSchool building. Come help us gear up for build season starting in January! New members will not be considered after Tuesday, November 25; so make sure to stop by or email Dr. Buckner at mabuckner@ortn.edu if you have any further questions, all grades and experience levels are welcome. Come check out the biggest learning opportunity and hardest fun you’ve ever had!

SENIORS
Seniors: place your order for the cap, gown, and tassel set. Instructions for ordering are in the announcements in Canvas. The final date to place an on-time order is Monday, December 1. After this date, shipping will increase $20. If you have difficulty ordering the cap and gown set for any reason, the time to see Mrs. Ledden is before Thanksgiving break.
ATHLETICS.
The ORHS Football TSSAA 6A Playoff game originally scheduled for Friday, November 7, has been moved to tonight, Thursday, November 6, due to expected inclement weather on Friday evening.
Boys Soccer tryouts will be held on 11/6, 11/10 and 11/13 on the soccer field. All interested participants must have a sports physical on file to participate. For more information contact Coach Gorman or Coach Burr.
