It’s that time of year…Prom Season!! Prom will take place in the Wildcat Arena on Saturday, April 26th, from 7:30-11:00 pm. Prom tickets will be on sale this week during lunch on Monday April 21st to Thursday April 24th for $50 per ticket. You must pay with CASH or CHECK – NO CARD PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Tickets are non-refundable. The prom board will be selling tickets in the concession stand outside of the Wildcat Arena during third block to JUNIOR AND SENIOR STUDENTS ONLY. No freshman or sophomore students will be allowed to purchase a ticket.
AP/Cyber Security Kickstart Testing 2025 : Device Set Up Make-Up Session
Students who missed the device set-up day last Wednesday at Roane State need to attend the make-up session Today, April 22nd from 3:30pm-4:30pm.
This process should take approximately 10-15 minutes. To expedite this process, restart your computer before you arrive so it can perform updates.
Mr. Froning will be holding AP Statistics review sessions for the next two Wednesdays (April 23 and April 30) from 6 PM to 8PM in his classroom. Students are encouraged to park or get dropped off in the Providence Road bus loop and enter at those doors, as someone will need to let you in. All students taking the AP Stats test are encouraged to attend. There will be snacks! If you can’t attend these sessions and still have questions you want help with, contact Mr. Froning and you can set up a time during lunch or after school.
Any AP Language student interested in receiving review information via email can email Ms. Jordan at jsjordan@ortn.edu. Ms. Jordan will email you links to College Board tutorials and videos. The next in-person review session will be Wednesday, May 7th at 2:00PM in CS331.
SENIORS
Hey Seniors….Wanna see your pictures in the slideshow at the senior breakfast. If so, you’ve got to submit them. Go to tinyurl.com/seniorslideshow2025 to submit your photos or scan the QR code from the posters around the building. The deadline for submission is May 7.
Congratulations to Maddy Luby who won the $100 prize for the graduation celebration raffle at Senior Tea. You can pick up your winnings from Mr. Wise. For everyone else, it’s too late to win the money but not too late to register for Graduation Celebration. If you haven’t registered yet, just head on over to the Class of 2025 page and fill out the form to register. Remember if you won’t be 18 by then, you’ll also need to complete a paper form that you can get from student services. Register now!

The end-of-the-year Interact picnic is taking place on Monday, April 28 at Melton Hill. Please make sure to RSPV in student square
FBLA Members: mark your calendars for our end-of-year celebration on Thursday, April 24, after school in CS347.
FCA will meet Friday morning, April 25th, at 7:10 AM at Providence House across the street from the high school! Doors open and refreshments begin at 7:00, and a message will begin at 7:10. We will dismiss by 7:35. All are welcome!!! If you have any questions, contact Coach McKeethan (football/baseball coach).
ATHLETICS
Powder Buff sign-ups are happening now. You can visit the sign-up table during lunch hour. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the table will be outside the Arena and on Wednesdays, the table will be in the cafeteria. The cost is $20 per player. Grab your friends and sign up to compete against the other grade levels! For more information, see a volleyball girl or Coach Ellis in LC 222.
Save the date – Saturday, May 3 8:00 am – 11am in the Wildcat Arena $10 Sports Physicals provided by Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic. All Student Athletes must have a sport physical dated after April 15, 2025, to be able to participate in any ’25 – ’26 ORS Athletic Program.
