Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Winter Formal is February 3rd this year, and Snow Court applications will soon be open! 2024 Applications will open on Tues January 16th and will be due Fri Jan 19th. At Winter Formal, one snow king and queen will be crowned from the Snow Court. The Snow Court will consist of one boy and one girl from each grade. Scan the QR code found on the winter formal fliers or go to the Wildcat Student Hangout page in Canvas to apply. The Snow Court will be announced on Monday Jan 22nd, and voting with your spare change begins along with ticket sales on Tues Jan 23rd . Vote for your favorite candidate by donating money to their jar in the arena kiosk or top of the cafeteria during lunch. All voting proceeds this year go to Second Harvest. A. Wagner

Students—there is a run-off vote for several Teacher Superlative categories. Who will win fastest grader—Moreno or Feuer? Who will win best dressed—Hale or Barry? Masquers is recruiting for all of our technical positions. If you are interested in learning to run the light board, a spotlight, audio and other sound elements, to build sets, to run deck crew for a show, to fly curtains and set pieces on and off stage, or to create props used to bring the show alive, we need you. Please pick up a permission slip from the Masquers office door down by the auditorium or contact Mr. Lloyd @ malloyd@ortn.edu or Amber Latham @ lathaamb000@ortn.edu and come join us after school on Wednesday backstage.  T. CANCELLED!!  The FAFSA Help Session scheduled for Wednesday, January 10^th, is cancelled due to technical difficulties with the new FAFSA website. The Help Session for February 13^th is still on the calendar. H. Foster

Attention All Seniors: There is a mandatory TNPromise meeting TONIGHT, January 9th at 3:40 pm in the Food Court.  In order to keep your TnPromise scholarship, seniors must attend this meeting.  Please allow time to “sign in” before the meeting begins.  H. Foster & S. Thompson
