Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

 

STUDENT INFO

 

Juniors: before Monday afternoon, please stop by the hallway outside of the yearbook room, CS328, and check your name and photo for accuracy for the yearbook. After Monday afternoon, the name and picture will be set in stone. If you have an approved preferred name in Skyward, check to make sure this is correct. At this time, we cannot print preferred names that have not been approved in Skyward unless we have contact with your parents or guardians and their express permission. All changes must be confirmed with Ms. Hale by the start of Tuesday morning at 7:30 am. Thank you!  R. Hale

 

The City of Oak Ridge Recreation & Parks Department will open registration on November 6, 2023 for its 2024 winter basketball and volleyball leagues. Registration will close on December 9th. Men’s basketball will be held on Monday and/or Thursday evenings. The Co-Ed Volleyball league will be held on Tuesday evenings. The teen basketball (18U) leagues will be held on Saturday mornings and is open to any teen eighteen or younger that does not play TSSAA basketball and is currently enrolled in school. A boys and a girls division will be offered. All games are tentatively scheduled to begin the week of January 6th, 2024.   Interested teams or individual players may obtain registration information at the front desk of the Oak Ridge Civic Center or by contacting Matt Reece via e-mail at mreece@oakridgetn.gov.   S. Auditions for the musical Anastasia are coming up on December 4th and 6th! We can’t wait to see you there. This musical is based on the 1997 animated film of the same name and full of strong characters and memorable moments. See the Masquers office down by the auditorium or Mrs. Lloyd in CS345 to sign up for audition information.  T. Lloyd

 

CLUB INFO

 

The Interact Club will meet on Monday in the amphitheater after school until 4pm. We will be celebrating the holidays at this meeting!  A. King

 

Let’s hit the slopes! Ski and Snowboard Club is changing venues for this year. We will be taking two single day trips to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. If you are interested in joining us, please stop by the LC100 or LC200 hallway to pick up the informational packet and forms posted in the hallway or find a copy in your iNews. Deposits are due Friday December 1st to hold your spot. Spots on the trip are first come, first served so act quickly if you want to join! All levels of ski and snowboard experience are welcome.  J. SENIOR INFO

 

Seniors: Jostens will be in the Main Lobby and the Arena Concessions’ Kiosk during lunch only for the final time on Wednesday, December 6, to collect graduation supply orders in person. The final deadline to place an on-time order for graduation supplies is Friday, December 8. After December 8, prices will DOUBLE! However, it you don’t order on December 6, it will be up to you to get your order to Jostens. Place online orders at https://www.jostens.com/ until the end of the day on December 8.
