Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

 

STUDENT INFO

 

Come check out Wildcat Central! Get your O R socks, bracelets, lanyards, and bag tags in person near the main staircase. Pre-orders for t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies are also available. Come get you ORHS gear today or pick up a flyer to order from home. Products and Pre-sales will be available until May 9th. Keep a look out for OR People trading cards, coming soon!

Students who have expressed interest in learning to cook, we have our first official cooking class with Aramark Chef Eric available for you on Friday, May 5 from 3:15 – 5:15 in our own cafeteria.

Please check your calendars now and make plans to attend.

Tickets to Prom 2023, Luminous Nights, will be on sale in the Arena Kiosk April 24th – 27th during 3rd period at the price of $40 for singles and $80 for couples. Tickets WILL NOT be sold Friday April 28th or Saturday April 29th.  All tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE

**If your date is not a current ORHS student you must complete a Guest Application form found in Ms. Eidam Dyer’s room, LC 313, Student Services, or at Ticket Sales.  All forms must be completed and turned in with a copy of the guest’s ID to Student Services by April 26th.  S. Dyer

 

CLUB INFO

 

Bonjour! French Club will meet right after school on Thursday in Madame Barry’s room CS 307! We will have a special guest, Noe Gomez, who is visiting from France. Come meet Noe and learn about Francophone Culture!  Merci!  E. Barry

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet this Friday at 7:10 AM at Providence House, across the street from the Wildcat Arena parking lot. Brandon Hambrick, the youth pastor at Oak Valley Baptist Church will be bringing the message, and breakfast food will be provided. All ORHS staff and students are welcome.  T. Froning

 

SENIOR INFO

 

ONE WEEK UNTIL COLLEGE SHIRT DAY! Seniors, show us your future plans on a shirt next Tuesday, May 2nd! Wear a shirt from your future college, technical school, or military branch. We’re so excited for you, Class of 2023! Staff, please join in the fun by wearing a shirt from your alma mater on Tuesday, May 2nd.  B. Ottinger

“Calling all Senior artists. If you have taken a visual arts class at ORHS, you are invited to submit artwork to be included in our Senior Show. Artwork must be submitted to Ms. Eades, Mr. Moseley, or Ms. Schrock by this Friday, April 28th. The senior art show is Monday, May 8th, from 5:30-7pm. Artwork submitted must have been made as part of an art class at ORHS.”  H. Eades

Mr. Feuer will offer AP Lit Exam review in CS 319 during 3rd period (12:10-1:06) Tuesday, 04/25, and (11:20-12:14) Thursday, 04/27. More will follow if participation warrants additional sessions.  M. Feuer

 

COUNSELING INFO

 

 

Attention Juniors!  The Green McAdoo Cultural Organization is offering current juniors a scholarship opportunity for a one-time payment of $1,200!  There will be one winner chosen from ORHS, along with a winner from each of several area schools. If you are interested, stop by the Counseling Office to pick up the prompt and submission information.  The submission is due May 31st.
