Come join us for the Atomic Acts Showcase, a night of improv, scenes and monologues. Don’t miss Masquers’ last performance of the year TONIGHT at 7pm. And it’s free! But donations are appreciated! (Th) – T. Lloyd

 

Any former art student who would like to participate in the annual senior art show may submit up to three artworks to an art teacher.   You must include your name and the title of your work with each submission.  The due date to submit work is Monday, April 25th.    The exhibit will take place the first week of May with more information to follow. Come be a part of the award winning ORHS Band Color Guard and perform with the WildBand at football games and competitions. No experience necessary. Performing Arts and Wellness C credits are earned for this audition only high school class. Clinic/Auditions will be held in ORHS Food Court from 4:30 to 7:00pm on the following days:

Tuesday, April 19th     Thursday, April 21st       Friday April 22nd       Monday April 25th

Woodland Elementary will host their Spring Fling on Friday, April 22nd from 5:30 – 7:30.  Volunteers will be needed from 5 – 8 pm. This is an excellent way to earn additional community service hours.  A volunteer form was sent to all seniors this morning to your ortn.edu email address.  Any underclassmen wanting to volunteer, should email Mrs. Thompson for access to the form at sathompson@ortn.edu (Tu, Th) – S. JUNIOR INFORMATION

 

Juniors who have been invited to join National Honor Society, remember to pay your $15.00 dues to Mr. Senter by 3:15pm on Friday in order to participate in the Induction ceremony.

Also–  Due to the lifting of Covid restrictions, National Honor Society inductees are invited to bring more family members than just parents to the ceremony, and all current NHS members and ORHS faculty and staff are invited to attend in the Auditorium at 7:00pm on Thursday, April 28th. The current NHS officers have invited Dr. Garfield Adams to be the keynote speaker. (F) – K. Senter

TnPromise Opportunities

Robertsville Middle School will host their STEM night on May 19th.  Volunteers are needed from 4:30 – 8:00 pm.  A form has been sent to seniors’ ortn.edu email with a link to sign up to volunteer.  The due date to sign up is May 16th.  Underclassmen are welcome to email Mrs. Thompson at sathompson@ortn.edu if you want to volunteer. SENIOR INFORMATION

 

Seniors: Convocation is held in the Arena on May19th at 7:00 p.m. We need Seniors to share their vision of what ORHS represents to them to design the Front Cover for the Program.  Examples of previous Convocation programs will be on display in the Media Center.  Requirements are: Oak Ridge High School     Class of 2022    Need to be included in the Design.  Mrs. Bauman in LC 318 will be available to answer any questions or help with encouragement. Deadline for proposals is May 6. (Tu, Th) –  B. Bauman

The party of the year is just around the corner — Graduation Celebration 2022! And best of all, it is COMPLETELY FREE to attend.  Graduation Celebration is a positive, exciting, safe, all-night party for our graduates, held immediately after graduation on Friday night, May 20!

Doors open at 10:00 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Civic Center with check-in, food, and activities, and then the graduates will bus over to The Main Event in Knoxville for a private all-night party with all activities, food, and fun provided.
