JUNIORS interested in applying for National Honor Society, now is the time to pick up your application in the Media Center. Applications are due back in the Media Center by 3:15pm on Friday, March 11 BEFORE Spring Break. (M,W,F) – K. Senter

SENIOR INFORMATION

 

Seniors: The time has come to select speakers for the ORHS Class of 2022 Graduation and Convocation ceremonies.  Tryouts will be virtual this year. For specific information about how to audition, please visit the Class of 2022 Canvas page and find the announcement regarding tryouts. The deadline to upload a submission is April 1 at 3:00 p.m. -G. The Senior Steering Club will have their next meeting on Monday, March 7th right after school in CS345. (M) – C. Stalliard

 

CLUB INFORMATION

 

Soup club (students of undergraduate physics), the newest, hippest, most delicious club in school, warmly welcomes interested physics and stem students to join them in their weekly potluck of knowledge in Ms. Hondorfs room Tuesdays at lunch, where they will study physics with a focus on the upcoming AP exams. If that’s too much commitment, just follow their official twitter account @TheORSoupClub for weekly soup updates and recipes. (Tu) – E. Hondorf

 

Hallo und guten Tag!  The German Club will meet on Tuesday after school at 3:15 in Frau Nebenfuehr’s classroom.  We will meet right after school until 4pm.  Do you like Fairy tales? What is your favorite game? We will have cookies, cake and great discussions. Come and join us! (Tu) Frau Nebenfuehr

 

If you’re interested in improving school climate and culture, then join us for 1 of 2 meetings for Wildcats For Change.  A lunch meeting will take place in the auditorium. Grab your lunch and meet us there.  Attendance will be taken since some students have a lunch class.

Carbon Monoxide

  • Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a gas you cannot see, taste, or smell. It is often called “the

invisible killer”. It is created when fossil fuels such as kerosene, gasoline, coal, natural

gas, propane, methane, or wood don’t burn completely. CO gas kill people and pets.

  • Headaches, nausea, and drowsiness are symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Exposure can be fatal.

  • CO alarms shall be installed outside each sleeping area and on every level of the home.

Follow manufacturer’s instructions for placement and mounting height.

*        Test CO detectors monthly and replace if they fail to respond.

*        If CO alarm sounds, immediately exit per your home escape plan and call 911. Do not go back until fire department personnel declares it is safe to re-enter the home
