FAFSA Updated Info  –  Two important deadlines are approaching for seniors who applied for the TN Promise.  First, file your FAFSA by the new deadline March 1st at 11:59 PM.  Second, watch the mandatory webinar in your TN Achieves account by March 1st.  Failure to complete either of these tasks will result in losing the TN Promise scholarship.  See Mrs. Thompson if you have questions or problems. Any Business Academy student who will be a senior in 2022-2023 and is interested in the Business Academy Work-Based Learning (Co-op) Program, please see Mrs. Ledden in CS347. Past employers have included ORNL, ORNL Federal Credit Union, UCOR, medical offices, and others. Students who are hired will leave school after 4th Period to report to work and will receive course credit and pay.  (2/3, 2/4, 2/16, 2/17) – T. Ledden

Friday Feb 4th — Today is Day 5 of the RETHINK YOUR DRINK CHALLENGE- Remember today and everyday it is important to think about what you drink and put into your body.   Help reduce your chance of cancer, obesity and diabetes by choosing to drink water instead of sugary drinks.  (F) – S. Minarik

Roses are red.  Violets are blue.  Buy a carnation or maybe buy two.  It’s that time of the year again.  Carnations are on sale.  See a Senior Steering Member before school, during lunch, and after school to purchase a lovely carnation to give to someone to let them know you are thinking of them.  Carnations are $2 each or 3 for $5.  Make someone’s day on Valentine’s Day!  (2/4, 2/7, 2/8, 2/9, 2/10, 2/11) – C. Seniors: Now is your chance to submit your senior quote and memory for the yearbook. Starting today and going through Friday, February 11 at midnight, you may access the google form through Skyward and submit your quote and memory. After midnight on the 11th, your opportunity will be gone forever. (M,W,F) – R. Hale

 

CLUB INFORMATION

 

 

What is love? Philosophy Club won’t hurt you. Join us for a discussion on the many philosophical concepts of love in Mr. Pickering’s room (LC322) after school on Friday. (2/3-2/4) – A. Pickering

Vroom! Vroom! It’s almost Spring and time to get those motorcycles back on the road. Everyone is invited to meet the Motorcycle club at Biker Rags on Clinton Hwy this Sunday any time between 1-4 for a workshop by Thunder Roads Tennessee.
