Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

The Countdown Begins –  The Spring Musical “Little Mermaid” is 9 days away!  Do you have your tickets for this beloved story?  Shows are Mar 6-8:  Friday at 7, Saturday at 2 and 7, and Sunday at 2.  Advance tickets are $8 and are available from a Masquer, Mr.Moreno’s class, or the Bookstore.  Don’t miss the biggest show in Masquer History!!!  (W) – V. ACT Prep: On Wednesday, February 28, we will meet at 2:00 PM in room LC 327 to prepare for the ACT Science test. Ms. Hondorf will teach the highest-value content (particularly related to reading graphs and tables), and we will take apractice test. Please reserve a test by emailing Coach Etheridge (Aetheridge@ortn.edu) by Tuesday, February 25. A difference of just a few questions can mean more $! (W) – A. Etheridge

The ORHS Track team will hold its annual pancake breakfast Saturday February 29th – LEAP DAY!- AT Aubrey’s in Oak Ridge.  Let’s pack the house!  Tickets are 5$ in advance or at the door.  Lots of swag on sale as well.  Thank you for your support of our athletes. (W,Tu,Th 2.28) T. Sauer

The ORHS Key Club is collecting donations of diapers and baby wipes in conjunction with the Oak Ridge Kiwanis Club. Donations may be dropped off at the office or with Mr. Schoolcraft. These resources will be donated to TORCH, a local charity. Donations will be accepted until February 27. (M,W,Th) – J. Schoolcraft

 

COUNSELING INFO

 

Attention Juniors! There will be an information meeting for those interested in representing Oak Ridge HS at the Tennessee American Legion Boys State and the American Legion Auxiliary Volunteer Girls State this May on Thursday, February 27th. The meeting will be in the Library Media Center classroom at 3:10. It will last about 30-40 minutes total. Last year’s participants will be speaking with you regarding what the week is all about and what you do and learn through this amazing week-long experience. The fee to attend is covered so those selected do not have to pay to attend. Boys State is held at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville and Girls State is held at Lipscomb University in Nashville.
