Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

We have an important parking announcement for all students who drive to school.  For the remainder of the school year if your car is parked in a staff parking spot at any point in the day it is subject to be towed.  Please only park in student parking spots in the designated student lots (Arena and Turnpike) or on the street on Providence Road. Lost and Found –  If you have lost anything in the last quarter please come and check the lost and found to retrieve you item if we have found it.

 

Driver’s Permit- If you are planning on getting your permit over the summer you are required to have a SF10-10 Form from school stating that you are in compliance with the Tennessee Laws.   Please come to the Attendance office and fill out the request to receive this form and it will be good all summer.  (5/20, 5/28, 5/29) – C. Seniors who are or will be 18 years old on or before February 20, 2020, may register to vote this Friday morning before your breakfast. The League of Women Voters of Oak Ridge will set up in the food court to register you. Members of the League have been sworn in by the Anderson County Election Commissioner Mark Stephens so that you may vote in the next election, whether or not you are out of state. You must know your social security number to register. Once your registration is processed (it takes about two weeks), you will receive by snail mail your registration card. This opportunity to register now is a real

convenience, so do take advantage of it. Voting is your right as a U.S. Citizen as Former General and U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower put it.  (5/21-5/24) – T. Seals

House Method is opening the second annual House Method scholarship, which awards $1,000 toward the education of a student committed to bettering our lives in our homes. The Tennessee Alpha Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon will award $6,500 in scholarships to the incoming 2019/2020 male freshman class.  Students attending the University of Tennessee-Knoxville this fall can apply.  The application takes approximately 15 minutes and applicants are under no obligation to join a fraternity.  Please go do www.tnalpha.com to complete your application.  The deadline is June 14, 2019.
