Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

Convocation Ushers-There will be a mandatory meeting immediately after school on Thursday (5/23)  in the auditorium to assign roles and practice before the senior breakfast on Friday and the actual event on May 29th. If you are unable to attend, please see Madame Barry in CS 307. Merci!

Yearbooks will be on sale every morning this week before school, starting at 7:15, in CS328 in the English wing.  They will also be on sale between classes or after school on Wednesday and Thursday only.  We are down to a very limited number of books, so buy one early in the week if you would like one–$85 cash only.  The last day to purchase a yearbook is Friday, May 24. SENIOR INFO

 

Seniors – come prepared on Wednesday to return your ORHS laptop, case, charging cable and stylus.  Bring your items to the Library beginning at 11:30 am.  If charges for lost items or repairs are needed, you will receive a letter with pictures at the time of return. Students who need their laptops on Thursday, will be allowed to bring theirs in any time that day.  Laptops MUST be turned in to attend Senior Breakfast. Seniors: do you have your cap, gown, and tassel? If you borrowed a cap & gown, did you remember to purchase the “19” tassel? If you needanything in order to be prepared to walk the stage May 30, please see Mrs. Ledden immediately in CS347. Tassels are $10. Also, extra announcements are available for $1.25 each. Seniors who are or will be 18 years old on or before February 20, 2020, may register to vote this Friday morning before your breakfast. The League of Women Voters of Oak Ridge will set up in the food court to register you. Members of the League have been sworn in by the Anderson County Election Commissioner Mark Stephens so that you may vote in the next election, whether or not you are out of state. You must know your social security number to register. Once your registration is processed (it takes about two weeks), you will receive by snail mail your registration card. This opportunity to register now is a real

convenience, so do take advantage of it. Voting is your right as a U.S. Citizen as Former General and U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower put it.  (5/21-5/24) – T. Seals

Seniors –   Take a walk down Memory Lane as you re-visit your OR Elementary School.  Check out the date and time for your Alma-Mater Senior Walk  (M,W,F 5.22)

 

Glenwood Cubs are invited to participate in our Senior Walk on May 29.  Breakfast in your honor will be served beginning at 8:15 and the Walk will be at 9:00 during our Awards Day celebration.  Wear your cap and gown to inspirethe next generation of Cubs!  We look forward to having you back at Glenwood one more time!!  If you have any questions, please email Amelia Bell at abell@ortn.edu or text at 865-621-7405.

 

Linden Lions, you are invited back to Linden to take part in the Linden alumni Senior Events.  On May 23 at 4 pm we will have a reception in the cafeteria to take a walk down memory lane from when you were a studentat Linden.  There will be pictures, refreshments and a showing of your fourth grade musical.  Then on Wednesday, May 29th at 9 am we are inviting you to walk through the halls of Linden in your cap and gown and help inspire our young Linden students.  Please check into the office by 8:45 on May 29th.  For additional information please email Cindy Nidiffer at  cnidiffer@ortn.edu.

 

Willow Brook Bears, you are invited back to Willow Brook to take part in a Senior Walk on Wednesday, May 29th at 9:00 AM. Walk through the halls of Willow Brook in your cap and gown and help inspire ouryoung students. Stay and visit your former teachers, and enjoy a cake reception in your honor beginning at 10:00 in the secret garden. Please come a little before 9:00 and bring an ID to check into the main office. Woodland Hawks Class of 2011   It’s been eight years since you walked Woodland’s hallways –

Yet from afar we’ve watched the trails you’ve each blazed –   In two winks and a nod it’ll be time for your graduation –  And we are all so anxious to share our congratulations   So mark your calendars – Tuesday, May 28th 11:00a-12:00n  for our Woodland Graduates Celebration!  Please come to room 41 at 10:50 to put on your cap and gown.  There will be time to visit with past teachers and refreshments after the walk!  We can’t wait to see you!
