Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Before going on a college visit a prior approval form must be completed and turned into the attendance office. Upon return, you need to make sure you have proper documentation on letterhead from the college you attended. This documentation will then be attached to your prior approval form. (Tu, Th) – P. ORHS students who signed up to help with Spring Fling at Woodland Elementary on the original date of Friday, April 5 listen up.  Due to the weather this past Friday, the event was rescheduled to this Friday, April 12.   Only 5 students have responded to say that they can still help and they still need more volunteers.  Get some TNPromise Volunteer hours this Friday.  The final date to contact Ms. Donald is Wednesday, April 10.  Contact Stacy Donald at sdonald88@bellsouth.net  (Th) – S. Are you interested in gaining some emergency safety training? Do you like to help others? Do you have an interest in improving the school climate and culture? The Junior Safety Team is accepting applications for membership for the 2019-2020 school year. Applications are available in room CS 311 and CS 331. Current members must also reapply. PROM INFO

 

Tickets to Prom 2019, Living Behind the Mask: a Met Gala, will be on Pre-Order April 3rd -5th  in the Arena Kiosk during 5th period at the pre-order cost of $30 for singles and $60 for couples.  Tickets will be on sale April 22nd -25th  during 5th period at the price of $40 for singles and $80 for couples. Tickets WILL NOT be sold Friday April 26th or Saturday April 27th.  All tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

If your date is not a current ORHS student you must complete a Guest Application form found in Student Affairs or with Ms. Eidam in LC 313.  All forms must be completed and turned in with a copy of the guest’s ID to Student Services by April 24th.

 

 

Promposal contest. Did you ask your date to prom in a creative way? Would you like to win a pair of tickets to Living Behind the Mask: a Met Gala?  Send pictures or video of your promposal with a short explanation of your proposal to Ms. Eidam at seidam@ortn.edu by April 16th.  The winner will receive a free pair of tickets to Prom 2019 or a refund if they had already pre-ordered their tickets. Junior and Senior Girls– are you in need of a prom dress?  The ORHS Prom Closet will be open during the following dates and times:  Lunch 5a & 5B  March 29, April 1, April 5, April 9 and April 11  /  After school until 3:45 April 4, April 8, April 9, April 11 & April 15!

Junior & Senior Boys- we have a LIMITED amount of donated tuxedo vests, ties and shoes. Please see Mrs. King in counseling if you need these for prom!  (Tu, Th – 4/15)  – A. King

Seniors with Ideas, Creativity, Strong Opinions & memories of your years at ORHS should create a picture to be used as a bulletin cover for Convocation 2019.  $50 incentive for the one chosen.   If you would like to see samples from previous years, stop by Mrs. Bauman’s room, LC 318. COUNSELING INFO

 

Would you like to earn community service hours? Are you looking to gain experience in sports, hospitality, and guest relations? UT is recruiting student workers to work the Orange & White Game on 4/13 with the opportunity to continue into the upcoming football season. This is a great way for any students to earn volunteer hours, get paid, and learn some of the fun-filled game-day operations in the premium spaces of Neyland Stadium.
