Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

 

INTERSESSION STUDENTS are reminded to be here on Monday by 8:00 and must enter the building from the Main Lobby entrance.  No other doors will be accessible. Lunch will be available.

 

Students who travel to see the Lady Wildcats play this week in Murfreesboro will be excused from school. You must bring your ticket back and submit it to the attendance office. DON’T LOSE it over the BREAK.  Go Lady Cats! (F) – B. Estep

The Spanish Department is going on a Tiko Trek Spring 2020. There will be an interest meeting on Tuesday March 26 right after school in Room CS 312. Ziplining in the cloud forest, horsebackriding and making friends with the sloths are just some of the adventures you will have! (Tu) – M. Mas-Effler

Seniors: graduation supplies will be delivered on Thursday, March 28! Your balance must be paid in full in order to get your supplies on this date. You may call Jostens at 423-787-0025 if you have questions concerning your balance. (F) – T. Ledden

 

Seniors:  Convocation and graduation will be here before you know it! If you are interested in being a speaker at either graduation or convocation, please see Mrs. Flanders in CS 316 for speech guidelines and to sign up for tryouts. Tryouts will be Thursday, April 4 at 3:20 in room CS316 (Mrs. Flanders’ room). At that time, you will read your speech to a panel of judges made up of teachers and students, and the panel will select the speakers by vote.  Stop by soon to get the information. (3.5-8) – G. Are you 17 or 18 years old? Are you a senior interested in competing for scholarship money?  The Miss America Local Primary system in looking for civic minded young women to compete at the local level.  Miss Union County/Miss Thunder Road, Miss Oak Ridge, and Miss Anderson County competitions are coming up on March 16th and 17th.   Each young woman will speak on a platform initiative that is a point of interest for public awareness and service, compete in an evening gown competition, and a talent competition.  There is no swim suit category.
