Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

 

The Driving Center will be hosting two Driver Education Classes over Spring Intercession.  The first is March 11th and the second is March 18th.  Please check their website at thedrivingcenter.org for information and registration (Tu, Th – 3.7) – T. Seals

 

If you are interested in attending this year’s Introduce a Girl to Engineering program at Y-12, stop by student services to pick up a permission form. The trip is Thursday, February 21, from 8:30 to 12:00. Return your permission form to student services by February 19. Space is limited and you must be in good standing to attend. Stephanie Romanoski, Morgan Loggins, and Hannah Constance are the triple threat to your academic woes with free tutoring from National Honor Society on Thursday from 3:15 to 3:50 in the Counseling Center. (2/6-2/7) – K. Senter

 

 

CLUB INFO

 

Book Club meeting in the library during lunch Friday, February 8.  Be there or be square.  (Tu, Th, F) – C. Milloway

 

Congratulations to our two ORHS Philosophy Club Ethics Bowl teams that competed at The University of Tennessee’s regional competition on Saturday, February 2. The varsity team (Braeden Gibson, Matthew Darring-Yerk, Avigail Duke, Lauren Schenk, and Patricia Anguiano) won 5th place overall (of 18 teams). The JV team (Eli Welton, Joshua Maupin, Ben Bussell, Matthew Kendall, Miles Jackson, and Joshua Sheely) won 4th place in the Dialectical Excellence category for dialog with the judges. Philosophy Club will meet in Mr. Pickering’s room (LC322) after school this Friday for a regular discussion. All are welcome! (2/7-2/8) – A. Pickering

 

Interact club will meet Monday after school in the amphitheater until 4.

COUNSELING INFO

 

The mini-College Fair has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 5th during 5th period lunch (11:30-12:30). Students of all grade levels and parents are welcome to meet with admissions counselors. It is not too early for even freshmen to be learning about college entrance requirements to make sure their four year schedules here are arranged to meet their post-secondary plans. (2/6-2/8) – K. ATHLETICS THIS WEEK

 

It’s Senior Night this Friday.  Seniors with ID badges will get in free to the ballgame.  BJV starts @ 4:30 – GV @ 6:00 and BV @ 7:30.
