Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Attention juniors and seniors: Don’t forget about Career Pathways.  Applicants must be available to work afterschool, some weekends, and over fall break starting August 20.  Applications are available in Student Services and are due back by this Friday, August 3^rd.  For more information, contact Ms. Roberts. Students, please remember that you must remain seated in the food court until you are released by the whistle.  Additionally, it is your responsibility to clean up after yourselves.  There are plenty of garbage cans around the food court so please make sure to not leave any trash behind. Please do not park on the yellow lined “field” on the food court/front of school parking lot. It is located on the side closest to the turnpike. This is the WildBand practice field on campus. Thanks! – M. Hughey

Interested in working on stage or backstage for our exciting Masquers productions?  Come to the Masquers informational meeting this Monday, August, 6^th from 3:15-4:30 in the Auditorium.  Come dressed to be active and have fun.  Go see Mr. Moreno, Mr. Fowler, or Ms. Adler if you have any questions. COUNSELING INFO

Do you want to race with a llama this year? Do you like to participate in service projects? If you answered yes, then the INTERACT Club might be for you!  Please join us Monday, August 6 right after school until 4 in the counseling’s college and career room! (8/1-8/6) – A. King

Any SENIOR planning to take the Saturday, September 8^th ACT and who qualifies for a fee waiver voucher, TODAY is the deadline to register for that test AND to get a voucher. After today, the late registration window is through Friday, August 17^th and the voucher will still cover the initial fee but NOT the late fee. See Mrs. Rowland in the Counseling office to get the voucher if applicable. Register for the ACT at www.actstudent.org. (8/3) – K. Rowland

The Gay Straight Trans Alliance first meeting of the year will be Monday after school in Ms. Adler’s room LC106. EVERYONE is welcome. Come be part of an accepting community. Learn about and participate in Diversity Dances and Proms and Festivals. Snacks served!! Meeting ends at 4pm. (8/2-8/3, 8/6) – Ms. Adler

Welcome back, students! The YuGi-Oh! Club meets on Fridays after school in CS 235. We will have our first meeting of the school year on Friday, August 17. Bring your cards and be ready to duel until 5 pm. Everyone is welcome! (8/2, 8/3, 8/9, 8/10) – R. Colquitt

If you are interested in learning how to code or improving your coding skills, please consider the Computer Science Club.  We will hold an informational meeting on Wednesday, August 8th right after school in Mr. Jackson’s room, LC 227. (8/3-8/8) – K. Jackson
