There will be a meeting for students and their parents/guardians who are taking ROTC

On Friday, May 18th at 5pm, the City YAB is hosting a free Field Day in the park at the Civic Center.  Students can play ultimate Frisbee or kickball, and the event concludes with a Color-Powder Relay.  Dress for mess.  All students who attend will be eligible for a door prize drawing for a S’well bottle, a Frisbee, or an Eno-style hammock.  If you have questions, call Matt Reedy at 425-3450. ORNL and ORISE have a long history of collaborating and developing high quality research programs aimed at the early engagement of students to enrich their high school science and math experience. ORNL and ORISE are continuing this partnership with the announcement of the Next Generation STEM Internship Program, which is expected to provide eligible high school students within a 14-county radius of ORNL the ability to apply for a competitive summer internship at the lap. Correction: Students taking the following DE courses next year for the Dual Enrollment credit through Roane State: DE French 4, DE Spanish 4, DE Statistics, DE Pre-Calculus, and DE Geology, DE Childcare 3, DE Robotics/Labview and DE Clinical Internship should plan to stay after school ONE day for registration for Roane State AND the lottery grant to pay for the DE class. Those dates are either Tuesday, May 15th or Thursday, May 17th at 3:15 in the Amphitheatre. You should plan to stay for at least one hour. If you are still undecided as to whether you will take the course for Dual Enrollment credit, Roane State request that you go ahead and register now as if you are taking it for DE credit but you are not obligated to do so. Bonjour! Newly inducted National Honor Society members who signed up to work convocation, please mark your calendars for an upcoming important date. There will be a mandatory meeting in the Performing Arts Center immediately after school on Thursday, May 24th  to assign roles and practice for Convocation. Attention seniors! Graduation is coming up and we still have a few more fun things planned before we leave. The senior slideshow is coming up so dig through those old scrapbooks and baby boxes for all of those adorable elementary and middle school pictures. We would love to use group photos of you with your fellow classmates from sporting events, school parties, and more!
