Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Students who plan to take an AP Exam this spring must register via a Google Form found on the ORHS website.  Due to the low number of students who registered by the previous deadline, we will reopen the registration window Thursday, February 22nd through Thursday, March 1st.  The new deadline for all exam payments is Friday, March 9th.  Students may drop off their payment in the main office any time.   Students may contact their AP teachers for additional information including the AP Exam Schedule. The Driving Center will be offering Driver Education during Spring Intercession. Class begins March 12 and lasts four days. Driving is scheduled in addition to the classroom work. Please visit their website at thedrivingcenter.org or call 482-6700 for more information. (1/26-3/1 MW) – T. Seals

Want to make top scores on tests as the third term ends, or fives on your AP Exams? Marty Lay and Sarah Roth know how. See them for free NHS tutoring in the Counseling Center on Tuesday from 3:15 to 3:50. (2/26-2/27) – K. Senter

The Music Man is coming to ORHS this Friday night.  Do you have your tickets for this classic musical?  Time is running out to purchase Advance Tickets!  Tomorrow is the last day to purchase advanced tickets.  Shows are Friday at 7, Saturday at 2 and 7, and Sunday at 2. Tickets will be sold at the door for $9 for students and $10 for adults. There will be an informational meeting about representing ORHS at Boys’ or Girls’ State next Tuesday, March 6th at 3:10 in the College/ Career Room in the Counseling Office. Boys’ and Girls’ State are leadership programs in each of the 50 US States and Tennessee is known for having one of the best in each program!! Criteria are: B+ academic average, be civic and community-minded, physically active, and possess leadership skills that you want to grow! (Girls’ State also gives a $1,000 scholarship each year through Samsung and in addition, Samsung gives 20 $20,000 scholarships and a former ORHS delegate won that scholarship three years ago!!) All  juniors interested should attend this meeting. It will be approximately 30 minutes and you should be finished by 3:40. For more info: Girls’ State is www.alavgs.org.
