Car Rider Arrival and Dismissal Reminders

Arrival

Parking Lot

  • NEVER allow your child to exit your car without an adult. Please hold your child’s hand at all times in the parking lot.
  • Please be courteous of where you park. We frequently have parents who are blocked, and this causes them to be late to work or school.

Car Rider Loop

  • Never leave your car unattended in the bus/car loop.
  • No child should enter the school without an adult or staff member holding his/her hand. The Lobby will be open by 7:30 am and classrooms will open at 8:00 am. After 8:30 students are TARDY. Staff must return to their classrooms promptly at 8:30.
  • Please review the Tennessee seat belt laws located on the bottom of this page.
  • NEVER allow your child to exit your car without your assistance.

Dismissal

Parking Lot & Bus Riders

  • If you arrive after 1:30 (11:30 on Wednesdays/short days), we ask that you remain on the porch while a staff member brings your child to you.
  • Bus Riders: Please call before 1:00 (11:00 on Wednesday/short days) for dismissal transportation changes.

Car Rider Loop

  • Never leave your car unattended in the bus/car loop.
  • Your child must have a car seat, and it must be in the required position by the State of Tennessee Car Seat Law. If you need assistance with obtaining a car seat, contact Family Services at 865-425-9122.
  • A staff member will bring your child to your car. Please do not leave your car parked in the loop and walk to the porch. Staff are not allowed to walk between cars to load children. This is a safety hazard for staff and children.

Please do not have pets in your car. Staff are not familiar with your pets and this is an issue of safety for Preschool staff.

Smoking is prohibited on school grounds. This includes the car rider loop and parking lots.
