On Thursday, November 16th, Woodland held our annual STEM Night. With a  “Solar Spectacular” theme it was an evening full of cosmic fun! Students and their families were able to participate in many space themed STEM activities, crafts, and explorations!

This was also book fair week. Many of our families supported Woodland by making purchases at the book fair during STEM Night.

We had several community partners participate in our STEM Night: The MUSE, UTK, ORNL, ORAU/ORISE, AMSE, Calculating Minds, Pediatric Dentistry of East TN, UT College of Veterinary Medicine, Reema Habib (archaeologist), K-TESST, Pellissippi Biology/Chemistry, Ripley’s Aquarium, JMS Lego League Teams, Tevian Whitehurst – WBIR, Jack Caylor (robotics specialist). We had some donations as well: Papa John’s (discounted pizzas) and Cook’s Pest Control (goodie bags). Thank you to all our community partners and sponsors.
