This week several Woodland students were honored as “Purposefull People” with the Respect award. As part of our Social Emotional Curriculum, Character Strong, we have been focusing on the character trait of Respect for the month of August.
Our Woodland 2nd grade friends were excited to celebrate the start of a new year. To get to know each other all second graders brought in items from home to share with new and old friends.
Woodland’s 4th Grade Safety Patrol students trekked to Washington DC June 10-13th. It was an amazing trip as the students experienced our Nation’s Capital. Check out the video highlights of their trip: Safety Patrol DC Trip 2022
Woodland Elementary staff, students, and some former staff were happy to welcome back many former Woodland Hawks who are graduating from ORHS next week.
The Woodland Hawk Hustle was held on Friday, April 29th. This is an annual event sponsored by our PTO to raise money for our school. Our students had a wonderful time walking and running around our track, completing as many laps as they could in a 15 minute block.
Woodland Elementary hosted its annual Spring Fling on Friday, April 22nd. It was a great night filled with fun and friends! Woodland students and their families enjoyed a lot of fun games, activities, and food!

This weekend our Woodland Hawk Bots Challenge Team competed in the East Tennessee State First Lego League™ Competition at Tennessee Tech University. During the competitions we are judged on our Robot, Coding, Innovation Project, as well as the FLL Core Values.
