Woodland celebrated Fire Safety Day with the Oak Ridge Fire Department on Friday, November 3rd. It was a great day to learn about fire safety! The theme of the day was,  “Every Second Counts: Plan 2 Ways Out!” As you are making your home fire safety plan, make sure to have two ways out of every room!  We started our day with an assembly and a game of Fireman Feud: Students v/s Teachers.

During the commercial breaks, we enjoyed Sparky’s newest YouTube music video, Have Two Ways Out. Sparky shared his favorite, “Stop, Drop, and Roll” dance moves, and we ended the assembly dancing with Sparky in the gym.  After the assembly each class rotated through Fire Safety stations where students practiced what they would do in case of a fire.
